This is not "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" with its subtlety, lyricism, and views about love, freedom and the consequences of one's allegiances.

Wing Chun (Yong Chun) is a light-hearted comedic martial arts movie, and it is a very good one, too.

Michelle Yeoh is amazing, she kicks butt and does so in her trademark elegance. She is never strident, or out-of-control. There is discipline in her acting as well as in her martial arts. The dialogue leaves something to be desired, and is a bit tacky at some points, but again, it's a comedy, so it's pretty easy to take into stride.

The tofu scene, where Wing Chun (Yeoh's character) schools her opponent, is probably one of the best in this film genre (honolulu's comment : 'like Live-Action-Tom & Jerry !')

THX a lot to original ripper for this fantastic movie !!!

CORRUPTED FILES
It can happen, that some of the downloaded files will appear CORRUPTED, allthough they left my pc tested & 100% OK; but no problem: PLEASE DON'T PANIC !!
Just extract, but activate 'Keep Broken Files' (right click on part1.rar-file, and 'extraxt files; new window opens,where you can choose destination-folder, with option 'Keep Broken Files' AT THE LEFT BOTTOM) !!
The movie will be OK - DESPITE ERROR-MESSAGES !!
I've downloaded some of them, extracted (with corrupted files !!) and everything went well !!!!!!!!
(I COULD fluently SKIP WITH 1-MINUTE-STEPS THROUGH THE WHOLE MOVIE and where I stopped, it played absolutely NORMAL, without any delay - maybe just a few seconds will be played 'badly', because of the errors......)

If you still can't play it, try GOM-Player (my personal standard-player !!), or fix AVI with DIVFix (freeware and really fast !!)

Yu nu (Iron Sister ) (1999) - Choi Kwok Fai

Manchuria 1941: Caught sleeping with his Japanese major's mistress, Manchurian collaborator Tung Fei (Jackson Liu Hsiu-hsien) fatally shoots the man and flees for his life. Overcome by fatigue after hours of travel on horseback, Tung eventually awakens to find himself under the care of hunter Suen (Dick Wei) and his daughter, Ironic (Hsu). Hiding his true identity, Tung is invited to stay on with the family until he has recovered. Joining in on a guerilla raid, Tung's ruse is compromised and he is forced to kill Ironic's lover, Little Tiger Wang. Suen was crippled in the attack and Ironic (now pregnant with Wang's child) agrees to her father's request that she marry Tung, in order that they have a healthy man to provide for them.
Ironic gives birth to a little girl who bears a strange resentment towards her stepfather and even tries to injure him. With their marriage starting to falter and Ironic refusing to let him touch her, Tung discovers his old lover working as a prostitute in a nearby village and takes up with her again. He also starts paying the woman not to see other men, using money that was meant to support his wife and father-in-law. Suen eventually discovers what Tung is up to, with predictably tragic results

A Fei zheng chuan (Days of Being Wild) (1991) - Wong Kar Wai

Set in 1960, the film centres on the young, boyishly handsome Yuddy, who learns from the drunken ex-prostitute who raised him that she is not his real mother. Hoping to hold onto him, she refuses to divulge the name of his real birth mother. The revelation shakes Yuddy to his very core, unleashing a cascade of conflicting emotions. Two women have the bad luck to fall for Yuddy. One is a quiet lass named Su Lizhen who works at a sports arena, while the other is a glitzy showgirl named Mimi. Perhaps due to his unresolved Oedipal issues, he passively lets the two compete for him, unable or unwilling to make a choice. As Lizhen slowly confides her frustration to a cop named Tide, he falls for her. The same is true for Yuddy's friend Zeb, who falls for Mimi. Later, Yuddy learns of his birth mother's whereabouts and heads out to the Philippines.

Chung Hing sam lam (Chung King Express) (1994) - Kar Wai Wong

Wong Kar-Wai's movie about two love-struck cops is filmed in impressionistic splashes of motion and color. The first half deals with Cop 223, who has broken up with his girlfriend of five years. He purchases a tin of pineapples with an expiration date of May 1 each day for a month. By the end of that time, he feels that he will either be rejoined with his love or that it too will have expired forever. The second half shows Cop 663 dealing with his breakup with his flight attendant girlfriend. He talks to his apartment furnishings until he meets a new girl at a local lunch counter.

Dung che sai duk (Ashes of Time) (1994) - Wong Kar Wai

Ou-yang Feng (Leslie Cheung) lives in the middle of a desert, where he acts as a middle man to various swordsmen in ancient China. One of those swordsmen is Huang Yao-shi (Tony Leung), who has found some magic wine that causes one to forget the past. At another time, Huang met Mu-rong Yin (Brigette Lin) and under the influence of drink, promised to marry Mu-rong's sister Mu-rong Yang. Huang jilts her, and Mu-rong Yin hires Ou-yang to kill Huang. But then Mu-rong Yang hires Ou-yang to protect Huang. This is awkward, because Mu-rong Yang and Mu-rong Yin are in reality the same person. Other unrelated plot lines careen about. Among them is Ou-yang's continuing efforts to destroy a band of horse thieves. Oy-yang recruits another swordsman (Tony Leung, but the other one), a man who is going blind and wants to get home to see his wife before his sight goes completely. The swordsman is killed. Ou-yang then meets another swordsman (Jackie Cheung) who doesn't like wearing shoes. Oy-yang sends this man after the horse thieves, with better results. We then find out what a man must give up to follow the martial path.

Ao lua ha dong (The White Silk Dress) (2006) - Luu Huynh

An impoverished wife and mother desperate to provide her daughters with the ao dais' (a traditional tunic slit down the sides and worn over pants) required to attend school takes on a most non-traditional part-time job in director Huynh Luu's melancholy period drama. French colonial rule on Vietnam is on the verge of collapse, and hunchback servant Gu (Nguyen Khanh Quoc), who works for the puppet governor, longs to be wed servant girl Dau (Trong Anh Ngoc). Though the pair lacks the traditional means to marry, Gu bequeaths his love with the ao dai he has carried since childhood and the pair forms a faithful union. When Gu's master is assassinated, the pair quickly flees and relocates to the seaside village of Hoi An. Twelve years later Gu and Dau have started a family. Though the couple barely makes enough money to sustain themselves, much less two daughters, Dau is determined to ensure that her girls have proper ao dai's by the time they reach school age. In order to raise the finds needed to make her dream a reality, Dau accepts a part time position as a wet nurse to a wealthy old man without telling her husband.
